Story : Dare to dream

“Is the price of living a dream much higher than the price of living without daring to dream?” asked the disciple.

The master took him to a clothes store. There, he asked him to try on a suit in exactly his size. The disciple obeyed, and was very amazed at the quality of the clothes.

Then the master asked him to try on the same suit – but this time a size much bigger than his own. The disciple did as he was asked.

“This one is no use. It’s too big.”

“How much are these suits?” the master asked the shop attendant.

“They both cost the same price. It’s just the size that is different.”

When leaving the store, the master told his disciple, “Living your dream or giving it up also costs the same price, which is usually very high. But the first lets us share the miracle of life, and the second is of no use to us.”

: LIFE management tools : 10 Toxic Personalities Living Inside You :

Unfortunately we all have unhealthy personalities buried deep within us that have the potential to negatively impact our lives.  Although we are all human and have our own ‘personality issues,’ some ‘issues’ are, quite frankly, toxic.  They are toxic to our happiness.  They are toxic to our relationships.  They are toxic to our self-esteem.  And they are toxic to our dreams.

Here are 10 such personalities to look for in yourself, and avoid.

1.    The negativity committee. – You can never fail in life or love; you just produce results.  It’s up to you how you interpret those results.  Positive thinking is the ability to feel negative when you have to and still maintain enough hope to keep on going.  You cannot tailor-make the situations in life, but you can tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations.  You must view your life through a positive lens.  Instead of slapping your forehead and asking, “What was I thinking?” you must breathe and ask the more encouraging question, “What was I learning?”

2.    The hoarder of pain and loss. – One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go - whether it’s guilt, anger, love or loss.  Change is never easy – you fight to hold on, and you fight to let go.  But oftentimes letting go is the healthiest path forward.  You’ve got to emotionally free yourself from the things that once meant a lot to you, so you can move beyond the past and the pain it brings you.

3.    The jealous competitor. – Don’t be jealous of others.  Jealousy is the art of counting someone else’s blessings instead of your own.  Stop comparing your journey with everyone else’s.  Your journey is YOUR journey, NOT a competition.  You are in competition with one person and one person only – yourself.  You are competing to be the best you can be.  If you want to measure your progress, compare yourself to who you were yesterday.

4.    The mask. – No matter what age, race, gender you are, underneath all your external decorations you are a pure, beautiful being – each and every one of us are.  We each have light to shine, and missions to accomplish.  Celebrate being different, off the beaten path, a little on the weird side, your own special creation.  If you find yourself feeling like a fish out of water, by all means find a new river to swim in.  But DO NOT change who you are; BE who you are.

5.    The superficial judge. – Don’t always judge a person by what they show you.  Remember, what you’ve seen is oftentimes only what that person has chosen to show you, or what they were driven to show based on their inner stress and pain.  Alas, when another person tries to make you suffer, it is usually because they suffer deep within themselves.  Their suffering is simply spilling over.  They do not need punishment or ridicule, they need help.

6.    The busy body. – It is extremely healthy to spend time in solitude.  You need to be alone sometimes, to think and relax in a peaceful environment where you are not defined by anyone else.  Today, take some time out to take care of yourself.

7.    The perfectionist. – As human beings, we often chase hypothetical, static states of perfection.  We do so when we are searching for the perfect house, job, friend, or lover.  The problem, of course, is that perfection doesn’t exist in a static state.  Because life is a continual journey, constantly evolving and changing.  What is here today is not exactly the same tomorrow – that perfect house, job, friend, or lover will eventually fade to a state of imperfection.  But with a little patience and an open mind, over time, that imperfect house evolves into a comfortable home.  That imperfect job evolves into a rewarding career.  That imperfect friend evolves into a steady shoulder to lean on.  And that imperfect lover evolves into a reliable lifelong companion.

8.    The cheater. – Cheating is a choice, not a mistake, and not an excuse!  If you decide to cheat, and you succeed in cheating someone out of something, don’t think that this person is a fool.  Realize that this person trusted you much more than you ever deserved.  Be bigger than that.  Don’t do immoral things simply because you can.  Don’t cheat.  Be honest with yourself and everyone else.  Do the right thing.  Integrity is the essence of everything successful.

9.    The victim. – Don’t let your dreams waste away on another person’s promise.  Stop giving opportunities to people who make you feel inferior and let you down as soon as it’s convenient for them.  Saying “no” to the ‘wrong’ people gives you the time and resources required to say “yes” to ‘right’ people and the ‘right’ opportunities.  Stand up for yourself and take charge of your life.

10.    The procrastinator. – You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step; and the first step to living the life you want is slowly leaving the life you don’t want.  Taking this first step is always the hardest.  But then each subsequent step gets easier and easier.  And with each step you get closer and closer to the life you seek.  Until eventually, what had once been invisible, starts to become visible.  And what had once felt unattainable, becomes a reality.

Buddha

Buddha told his disciples: whoever makes an effort can attain enlightenment in seven days. If he can’t manage it, certainly he will attain it in seven months, or in seven years. The young man decided that he would attain it in one week, and he wanted to know what he should do: “concentration” was the reply.

The young man began to practice, but in ten minutes he was already distracted. Little by little, he began paying attention to everything that distracted him, and thought that he was not wasting time, but was getting used to himself.

One fine day he decided it was not necessary to arrive at his goal so fast, because the path was teaching him many things.

It was at that moment that he became an Enlightened one.

::: STORY :::…in our hands..!!!

When she was eleven years old, Anita went to her mother to complain. “I can’t manage to have friends. They all stay away from me because I’m so jealous.”

Her mother was taking care of newly-born chickens, and Anita held up one of them, which immediately tried to escape. The more the girl squeezed it in her hands, the more the chicken struggled.

Her mother said: “try holding it gently.”

Anita obeyed her. She opened her hands and the chicken stopped struggling. She began to stroke it and the chicken cuddled up between her fingers.

“Human beings are like that too,” said her mother. “If you want to hold onto them by any means, they escape. But if you are kind to them, they will remain forever by your side.”

:::: MUSIC, BOOKS AND COMEDY ::::

My Dear Souls

I HAVE THREE LIFELINES: MUSIC, BOOKS AND COMEDY

But why I am sharing this with you all.

Because MUSIC is the only divine materialism which connects to our hearts and our souls .

Because BOOKS are the only medium which gives knowledge to our thought process to understand the world and it’s better aspects of life in all dimensions

Because COMEDY relaxes you , kills your stress and removes the depression.

MUSIC , BOOKS and Comedy does not have language or other bars of this world created by we humans. You can listen to any music track which can sooth you down, you can any book , which can give you an insight of the materialistic world, and you can smile and laugh around to make yourself happy .

Because a happy YOU only make others happy who are around you.

I have started posting about the books and music on Every Wednesday. I am sure you will be enjoying them.  I am equally sure that these tips are common to you all too.

Happy Living friends….

GOD Bless you all.

:::: Same Hand of GOD :::

My Dear Souls

Paul Coelho said in The Alchemist. “Everything has been written by the same hand.”

I want to move ahead with this quote . Friends. We all are walking on the same path of spirituality with different -different dimensions of our own faith. Some here believe in Hinduism, some in Islam , some in Christianity , some in Buddhism , some in Sikhism and many more. There are several masters to all of us . And all this leads to one goal.

The path of spirituality and solace with GOD .

Rest assured that we all will achieve this ! because it is the same GOD , who is present with us , in us  in different avatars . It is the same hand which united all of us here in Hrudayam . It is the same hand which makes us share this joy of sharing knowledge .

It is the same GOD , which connects me to all of you. We all are part of a bigger soul. And this is more important. Hrudayam is big heart which has soul connection to all hearts of us.

And the teachings are so simple. Be better person and  give back to the society. Please share your happiness  with some of the unfortunate brothers and sisters around you . It is so simple. YES !

Let’s make a pledge: Live and let other Live.

Amen …!!!

GOD Bless you all.

:::: KIDS ::::

My Dear Souls

Today I will share a secret with you all.

For your own heart and souls if you want relaxation , then please play with kids , your kids, others kids, just follow them blindly . they may be your kids, your grand children or great grand children. Spend as much time as possible with them. You will find every time that you are simply connected to GOD.

DO  YOU EVER understood that KIDS are DIRECT gifts of GOD. In fact they are the only gifts of GOD, which can be seen and felt.

Their questions [ most of the time endless and interconnected  ] makes our heart filled with joy and happiness.

I never leave a moment , which can be spent with the kids. They are the real joy . I have named my 10 year old son as “ All time Buddha” he is a great soul. Every Guru Purnima , I touch his feet first .  He gives me so much of peace. I have lost my mother long back . when My daughter is born , I started calling her as my mother. My daughter is my mother. This is as simple as that . And it relaxes my heart .  During my evening meditation practice the kids share the energy aura and they feel so happy and in the whole process they make me happy .

So , please never loose any moment to spend time with kids. They are the angles of your life. And if you  have grandchildren . the joy is double.

Life is all about sharing joy and pleasure.

GOD Bless you all.

:::: SLOW DOWN :::

My Dear Souls

Buddha once said “ slow down , walk slowly . Eat slowly and properly “

OSHO further elaborated it to innate/ inherent/facile.

When you start doing things in a slow manner , you will find that your focus is improved. You are more concerned about the issues around you . you will find them more connected to you .

Whatever you do , just do it with inherent way . your very own way . Just do not follow anything or anyone . BE yourself. BE YOU.

Enjoy Life’s gifts as they come to you . slowly. Visually, positively . lovingly.

GOD Bless you all.

Silence

My Dear Souls

OSHO once said “ in deep silence ,Something of me enters you, and something of you enters me”

I want to elaborate this with my own experience. Everyday during my morning meditations , this happens .once you reach the peak meditative state . the absolute silence takes over you and than in those deep meditative moments of silence , something of GOD enters you and Something of you enters in GOD. [ GOD is already in you than why this statement ] YES, because knowing and experiencing are two different aspects.

I want to say this only to push you all to do some meditation. The method should be all your choice only. Don’t get hooked to something of someone else. You select your own mode and than slowly slip into the trance of divinity.

And Believe me it happens .

::: LIFE MANAGEMENT TOOLS ::: 10 REMINDERS FOR YOUR EVERY DAY ::::

My dear Souls ,

Usually because of the harsh situations of life we get stuck in the mind and than we stop fighting . Remember LIFE is a battlefield. And we need to fight each and every moment . so here are ten daily reminders to keep your mind centered and your spirits lifted.

1.    Treat yourself the way you want others to treat you.
2.    The biggest obstacles in your life are the barriers your mind creates.
3.    Sometimes to get where you want to go, you have to do what you are afraid to do.
4.    You must find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible.
5.    You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step.
6.    No matter how many times you revisit the past, there’s nothing new to see.
7.    No matter how difficult things were yesterday, you are armed with the ability and choice to do better today.
8.    Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
9.    You can only be yourself, and other people can only be themselves.
10.    Sometimes it’s okay if the only thing you’re doing is breathing.

I am sure that the above will help you to get what you have always dreamed. GOD Bless you .

::::Story :…...........dance in the rain :::

::::Story :…...........dance in the rain :::

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "Hmmm..," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "Today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YAY!" she exclaimed. "I don't have to fix my hair today!"
Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Gurupurnima

My dear souls;

I wish you all today on this auspicious day of  Gurupurnima ..!

गुरुर ब्रह्मा गुरुर विष्णु गुरूर देवो महेश्वराय।
गुरुर्साक्षात परब्रह्म तस्मै ‍श्री गुरुवे नम:।।

Guru Purnima  is a festival traditionally celebrated in honour to the masters. The word guru is derived from two words, 'Gu' and 'Ru' . The Sanskrit root "Gu" means darkness or ignorance. "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore one who removes darkness of our ignorance is a Guru. So Guru is most necessary part of lives. On this day, disciples offer puja (worship) or pay respect to their Guru (Spiritual Guide). It falls on the day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh (June–July) Traditionally the festival is celebrated by Buddhists in the honor the lord Buddha who gave His first sermon on this day. For all the seekers this day is very special.

My dear Friends, Guru has been described as the ultimate savior . And without the master with us , we can never achieve , whatever we want to achieve in our lives.  All of us ; in this battle of life are in the pursuit of spirituality and we are walking on an endless journey. Hrudayam group every day helps you all to continue your spiritual journey along with others with the blessings of so many masters of our universe.

There were 16 Masters to Lord Krishna. Just Think. If God can not live without masters , how can we ?  Take hold of the master and get his /her blessings for your inner journey .

Swami Sivananda  describes the Role of the Guru as : "Do you realize now the sacred significance and the supreme importance of the Guru's role in the evolution of man? It was not without reason that the India of the past carefully tended and kept alive the lamp of Guru-Tattva. It is therefore not without reason that India, year after year, age after age, commemorates anew this ancient concept of the Guru, adores it and pays homage to it again and again, and thereby re-affirms its belief and allegiance to it. For, the true Indian knows that the Guru is the only guarantee for the individual to transcend the bondage of sorrow and death, and experience the Consciousness of the Reality."

I am very lucky to have  Osho, shri Ravi Shankar, Murari Bapu, and Dalai Lama as my masters . And above all, Shri SaiBaba is my Lord, My master and my friend.

Once again I wish you all a great Gurupurnima .

Om Sai Ram ...!

Yours
Vijay
